I often reflect on how we compare ourselves to each other, something that is inevitable in many cases. This sometimes plays out on our achievements, and it’s easy for us to forget to celebrate ourselves for what we have accomplished.
I have realized that it gives me an incredible energy when I learn to just do things at my pace. In this way I can reflect on the situation and step by step without feeling stressed or pushed by myself or my surrounding. Sure I feel that some days are better than others. Some days I have so much energy I could run several miles and some days I just want to lay down on the floor and do nothing all day.
The key to any achievement, regardless if you want to learn to play the piano or run a marathon is to see your self as under construction. In this way when you have taken a few steps you can look back at your starting point. Appreciate what journey you have made from where you started and do not compare you with what trip everyone else has done versus your trip.
It’s important to learn to stop sometimes and take some time to reflect. In this way. It’s important because we can learn about ourselves, about our journey and also appreciating ourselves for our achievement.
